Pastor Jim and Lois Hoogeveen and Heartland Community Church are grateful recipients of a Pastoral and Congregational Renewal Grant from the Lilly Endowment Foundation. The basic purpose of the Endowment’s program is to provide a chance for congregations and ministers to engage in mutual renewal that will have an impact on their churches, their individual members and their communities. Jim and Lois will be on sabbatical from May 12 to August 25. The sabbatical begins with three overseas tours, following the Footsteps of Jesus, the Footsteps of the Reformers and the Footsteps of Paul. The remainder of the summer their footsteps will be with family and friends and celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary.
